Stop for a photo at Old North Bridge and visit Plymouth Rock before settling in for a two-night stay in Hyannis.
Make your way to Martha’s Vineyard to experience charming and relaxing island life for the day. Start your day with a tour (including viewing Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven) and then enjoy leisure time to get to know this little piece of paradise in the Atlantic.
Visit Newport, Rhode Island, the sailing capital of the world. Check out The Breakers – the summer cottage of the Vanderbilt family, take a sightseeing drive of the area, and then continue to Mystic, Connecticut to explore Mystic Seaport and admire the tall ships.
Drive into the Berkshire Mountains to experience Norman Rockwell, Vermont, where the artists resided for his final twenty five years, and visit the Norman Rockwell Museum. Stay overnight in the Green Mountains of Vermont.
Enjoy a scenic drive to Woodstock, during which you will pass through the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge. Known as “the prettiest town in America”, Woodstock will delight you with its village green, white steeple church, and numerous buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (Some date back to 1750!) Journey through the beautiful White Mountains.
Finally, drive by Maine’s lakes to coastal Portland where you will stay and enjoy time in Kennebunkport before concluding your trip with a traditional lobster dinner.
