Things to Pack for Your Cruise
Written on August 31, 2023
When it comes to packing for your cruise, many items are obvious. Necessities include your travel documents and required identification, toiletries, and appropriate clothing and shoes. Your travel advisor will provide you with additional suggestions based on your ship and itinerary, ensuring you’re prepared for your vacation at sea.
What about the items that are not quite so obvious but will make for smoother sailing? Luggage space is precious, but some of these items might make your cruise stateroom more organized and your overall vacation more stress-free.
We have a list of considerations for your packing list:
- Ziploc bags in a couple of sizes
- nightlight for stateroom bathroom (helpful for seeing your way in the dark and easing the fears of young children)
- Poo-Pouri
- magnetic hooks (will stick to walls, perfect for hanging items)
- suction cup toothbrush holders (free up counter space)
- over-the-door shoe organizer (not for shoes – for small items that take up valuable counter space, particularly bathroom items)
- wrinkle release spray
- refillable bottle / travel mug (great for on the ship and for taking into port on excursions)
- small travel alarm clock
- small USB portable fan for stateroom
- cellphone dry bag for excursions
- Wet Wipes
- portable power / charging bank
- sticky notes or a magnetic dry erase board (hang on your door to communicate with travel companions)
- travel laundry detergent and a couple of dryer sheets
- stain removing pen
- travel backpack for excursions
