As you sit down with your calendar and consider the year ahead, why not start thinking about your vacation plans?

Here’s a look at what will be new and hot in 2025, along with some anticipated travel trends.

New resorts we are keeping an eye on:

Secrets Baby Beach Aruba

The warm, shallow waters of one of Aruba’s most beloved beaches provides the setting for the first Hyatt Inclusive Collection resort for the island. For adults who love the delightful ease of all-inclusive resorts, it’s one to watch.

A resort committed to eco-friendly practices, Kimpton Tres Rios in Riviera Maya, Mexico is nestled in a 340-acre park that is perfect for hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking. Prefer maximum relaxation during vacation? Premium amenities, elevated culinary experiences, and a massive spa await. If you need to keep the kiddos busy, they can attend Camp Aventuras for pint-sized fun.

And let’s not forget about cruise ships:

Virgin Voyages Brilliant Lady – Brand new stateroom categories and longer itineraries for the brand are the highlights of the fourth Virgin Voyages “lady.”

Norwegian Aqua – Next in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima Plus class, Norwegian Aqua touts more outdoor space, stunning views from the pools at Infinity Beach, and endless thrills on the wildly wonderful Aqua Slidecoaster.

Oceania Allura – The eighth small ship joins sister ship Vista in the Oceania fleet, promising enchanting escapes to off-the-beaten-path destinations in its inaugural voyages.

Anticipated Travel Trends for 2025:

Soft travel: More travelers will seek vacations that allow them to decompress and truly escape from the stress and pressure of daily life. Soft travel is simpler and less structured, with an emphasis on mental health and relaxation.

Solo travel: Solo travel is easier than ever when joining with an established group. Small group tours allow for a sense of community without a loss of independence. This means travelers can enjoy the comfort and ease of a group experience while personalizing their free time excursions and activities to their interests.

All-inclusive resort vacations: (See: soft travel.) All-inclusive resorts are popular throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, and sunseekers love these vacations because of how easy they are. But all resorts aren’t created equal, so it’s important to find one that tics the boxes on your wish list.

Set-Jetting: Television viewers will continue to be captivated by the destinations featured on their favorite programs, further contributing to “The White Lotus” effect. (The award-winning show on HBO sparked interest in its filming locations, Hawaii and Italy, for seasons 1 and 2 respectively.)

Whether you’re interested in the latest and greatest in travel or replicating a previous favorite vacation, let’s start talking travel in 2025!
